Help Get Boys High School Volleyball Sanctioned!

​DEAR BOYS VOLLEYBALL COMMUNITY: 
(PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG to anyone/everyone who cares about boys volleyball!)
 
We hope you and your families are all well.  We met this week with UHSAA's Emerging Sports Committee and Executive Committee to once again discuss sanctioning boys volleyball.  You may recall we went through this process last fall and due to delays from UHSAA are now resubmitting our original, formal request to sanction boys volleyball beginning the 2021/22 school year.  
 
CALL FOR LETTERS
 
Our last presentation with UHSAA this year will be with the Board of Trustees this Thursday, November 19, and we invite you to send a letter of support beforehand!  Here are some guidelines:

• Whom to Address: Please send your letter to the whole group (Attn: UHSAA Board of Trustees) and, if you feel it would be helpful, reach out to any individual board members personally if you have a connection.  Email addresses are listed below.

• Subject Line: In your email subject line, please list the classification your school is in (6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A or 1A) with your school name followed by "Boys Volleyball Sanctioning" (ie 4A – Snow Canyon HS – Boys Volleyball Sanctioning).  This will ensure an accurate representation and clear visibility to the board.

 

• Talking Points: Please keep your letters respectful but do feel free to plea the cause!  Consider briefly sharing personal stories and what mental/physical/social/emotional benefits the game has brought to your life and how sanctioning would improve upon it.  Stress the importance for boys to have equal opportunity to officially represent their school and be a part of their school community through volleyball!
